Donate through Shopping
The DC Public Library Foundation participates in the escrip and iGive programs. Register at escrip or shop online at over 700 merchants through iGive – it is free to you and a percentage of each purchase will benefit the Foundation.
Shop Through Escrip
Register your Safeway, Macy’s, debit or credit cards and shop through escrip. To learn how the program works, visit www.escrip.com.
Register any one or all of your existing grocery loyalty, debit and credit cards for use in the program
Search for the “DC Public Library Foundation” as your charity of choice
Participating merchants will make contributions to DCPLF, based on purchases made by you, just by using the cards you have registered
Your purchases are tracked and available to you online, allowing you to see just how much you are earning for the library!
Once you’ve registered your cards (and it only takes a few seconds), you can also access well-known merchants such as Land’s End, Eddie Bauer, Office Max, Target, the Washington Post and others.
Shop Online at iGive
At iGive, not only is a percentage of your purchase price donated to DCPLF, but we receive a donation just for searches you conduct through iGive. If you purchase something within 45 days of joining (joining is free), a bonus $5 donation will be made to DCPLF.
