Facility Improvements

Years of budget cuts and deferred maintenance have left our libraries in sorry condition. Even with recent budget additions, it will take years to reach current standards of library function. In addition to administering funds for eight specified branches, the Foundation has provided indoor and outdoor enhancements to branch libraries and the creation of specialized rooms.
The Foundation has launched an initiative to enhance children’s rooms – first in 5 interim libraries (click here) and then system wide.
